You make miracles

Good morning everybody:
    Today, it’s my great honor to be standing here, sharing my immature experience to all of you.
    It is commonly sensed that English is truly important in our life.
    For boys, if you are so lucky to meet NBA stars like LeBron James, Dwight Howard by chance and if you are asked to be their tour guide but you don’t know English well, how will you be able to communicate and even ask for an autograph?
    For girls, if you are buying famous make-ups in foreign countries and you don’t know English well, you may buy an age-defying for yourself for whitening use.
    However, If you speak English well, you will be able to debate against the wrong opinions about our motherland and protect our own profits.
    Well, frankly speaking, to be perfect in English is very hard but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Don’t trust somebody who always says ‘it’s impossible’! Maybe they never make it possible. Trust yourself and hold the dreams and you should always know only after the painful struggles can a worn become a butterfly. There will be miracles, there will be success. Tracy Mcgrady got 13 points in 35 seconds, which helped Rockets beat the Spurs. Magic Johnson played as a center in NBA finals and continuously got the double-double and finally won the champion. When I decided to take part in the Guangdong oral English contest, no one believed that I could win. But I just tried my best and then, I got the silver.
    All these examples prove that you are where amazing happens, just trust yourself and don’t give up.
    After listening to me for so long, many people will ask ‘how to improve’. Now I am giving you some tips.
    Firstly, try to form an English environment. When you are free, you can debate against yourself or friends, speak out your opinions about some social phenomenon and even describe an exciting basketball game. Try to make it interesting.
    Secondly, find yourself some interests and to be happy in learning. I used to imitate favorite singers to sing English songs and I learned some raps from Eminem CDs. That was really helpful. In addition, movie dubbing could be helpful too.
    Thirdly, you can read English novels, recite beautiful paragraphs and buy studying software such as Crazy English, English 900 and VOA special English etc.
    Then, try to catch every single opportunity to practice or show off yourself. It is only after you experience the contest that you know where your target is and to chase after.
    I know some of you have already won a lot of prizes and some of you are still searching for the right way. So, to those who have proved themselves, I just want to inform you to be modest and careful. You will soon understand the great challenges that lie ahead, a lot more difficulties, competitors from outside, requirements of higher English standard, new ways to grow stronger. The only way it’s been done to succeed is block by block, brick by brick, learning from others, holding one heart to improve.
    And to those who are lost in space, don’t give up, try to do as what I’ve said and ask teachers to help you, there is no doubt that you will be soon on the way.
    In the end, I wish everyone could build his industry in English and I hope that every senior 3 student can be a winner in June’s exams.

    大家早上好。   

    今天我很荣幸站在这里，与所有人分享我并不成熟的经验。
    众所周知，英语在我们的生活中变得越来越重要。
    对于男生来说，如果你有幸遇到像勒布朗詹姆斯、德怀特霍华德这样著名的NBA球星，同时，如果你被邀请做他们的导游却没有良好的英语能力，你怎么能与他们交流甚至只是要求得到一个签名？
    对于女生来说，如果你在购买外国著名的化妆品时候却没有良好的英语能力，或许，你会把只适用于中年女性抗皱的面霜当作美白佳品使用而浑然不知。
    反之，如果你有良好的英语能力，你不仅可以避免生活中的这些尴尬，而且更重要的是，你可以在国际的舞台上为自己的祖国争取更多的荣誉，捍卫祖国母亲的尊严。
    坦白说，要想具有完美的英语能力非常困难，但这不代表它不可能。不要相信那些总说“不可能”的人，或许他们从来没有努力过。相信你自己，同时坚信你的梦想，因为你要明白破茧成蝶的意义。生活虽然很平淡，但却从不缺乏奇迹。麦迪在比赛最后的35秒内拿下13分，使得火箭战胜了马刺队。魔术师约翰逊在NBA总决赛中以一个后卫的身份替补中锋出场，连续拿下两双并最终帮助球队取得了总冠军。当我决定参加广东省英语口语大赛的时候，没有人认为我能够成功。但我只是尽力做到最好，最终获得了亚军。
    所有的例子可以证明你能创造奇迹，只要相信自己，永不放弃。
    听我讲了那么多，很多人会问“怎样才能提高呢”？现在我就告诉你们。
    首先，尽力营造一个英语环境。在你闲暇的时候，你可以与自己和同学辩论，说出你对社会现象的看法甚至解说一场精彩绝伦的篮球比赛，尽力让它变得有趣。
    其次，给自己找些兴趣，快乐地学习。我曾经模仿著名的歌手来演唱英文歌曲，我也学习了埃米那姆的说唱，那真的很有帮助。另外，电影配音也是一种很好的方法。
    然后你可以阅读一些英文小说，背诵一些优美的文段以及购买学习软件，例如：李阳疯狂英语、英语900句、美国之音。
    最后，尽力把握每一个机会来锻炼自己，同时展现自己。因为只有经历了比赛你才会知道你的目标在哪里，然后去追赶。
    我知道你们中的一些人已经获得了许多荣誉，另一些人仍在寻找正确的道路。那么，对于那些已经证明了自己的人，我只想提醒你们要保持谦虚与谨慎，因为你很快会明白前方有更多更大的挑战：来自外面的对手、对更高英语能力的要求、提升自己的新方法。而迈向成功的唯一道路是一步一个脚印，向他人学习，并保持一颗进取心。
    而对于那些正在迷途中的同学，请不要放弃，尽力按我说的去做，同时寻求老师的帮助。毫无疑问，你们将会找到方向。
    结束之时，我祝愿所有的学弟学妹们能在英语方面有所建树，同时作为一名即将毕业的高三学生，我衷心的祝愿每一位高三的同学能在六月的考试中乘风破浪，实现梦想！
